Queens of the Stone Age – In Times New Roman
I must admit I am obsessed with the new Queens of the Stone Age album, In Times New Roman. Aside from the fact that as a writer and designer the title appeals to me for all the usual ridculous nerdy reasons, this album is stupidly playable and has been kept on repeat in my house, my car, my office, on the train … for weeks now.

Things have been a bit tough over here are Fast 5ive, with a death in the family and a nasty case of the flu keeping us a bit quiet, but we have some good news and finally Issue 2 is in production! So what can you expect in our next issue? Definitely more of good stuff! Yah!
On top of the world
As a skater, you learn to look at the world in a different way. Everything becomes skate-able, and the world is your skate park. Large-scale artist Saype seems to have the exact same idea, though he sees the world as his canvas, and through seeing the world around him in this unique light he then brings his amazing art to life.

OMG can you believe we've just gone to print on issue #1 of Fast 5ive!? We're so excited we just can't hide it! We've locked in 150 copies of the first issue, with 32 full-colour pages printed on 150gsm matte art paper - this issue is gonna be extra lush! And can you believe it's only $5 AUD + postage?!? That's so unreal we almost can't believe it ourselves!

It's time for a little Michael Keaton appreciation post. From Beetlejuice to Batman, Nightshift to Mr Mom, Birdman to The Vulture, and numerous Doctors, Journalists and other characters in between, Michael Keaton has had one of the longest and most varied careers that any actor could boast.

David 'Meggs' Hooke is just one of those super cool kats who are an absolute delight to speak to. With an easy manner and a warm smile, he is a generous soul who patiently listens to everyone who attends his exhibitions and seeks him out to share their joy in his art.

Last Chance to Save The Tote
I've been going to the Tote hotel in Collingwood to see live music for over 30 years now (shhh no one needs to know how old I am) and over that time I have seen some amazing live music, from local heroes to national treasures, to international super stars.
